 Dogwood is a jewelry & fine arts studio, founded by jeweler/designer Jamie Whelan Luzzi.

After completing a BFA in metalsmithing, Jamie used this technical foundation as a stepping stone and experimented with various stone-setting methods to refine her skill set, while expanding her knowledge of diamonds, gemstones and precious metals. In the early days, Jamie worked at a makeshift jeweler’s bench in a chilly Connecticut garage, learning old-world setting techniques and honing her craft - sometimes breaking a gemstone or two along the way. These self-taught experiences fueled a commitment to precision and fine craftsmanship, instilling a philosophy that challenges are the best way to learn and evolve.  In 2017, Dogwood took a significant step forward by relocating to Newton, MA, where it blossomed into a vibrant home studio - a space where art, craftsmanship & dedication seamlessly intertwine.

At Dogwood, we prioritize design, transparency and sustainability. Our vintage-inspired minimalist designs are lovingly crafted with meticulous detail and thoughtful execution. We exclusively use 100% recycled metals (locally casted in Waltham, MA), and offer lab-grown diamonds alongside ethically sourced diamonds / gemstones. When you create a custom piece with us, you work directly with Jamie, who will provide you with a full support system every step of the way. From the initial consultation to final unveiling of your custom ring, Jamie’s hands-on approach ensures that no detail is overlooked. As a trained bench jeweler, designer, and gemologist, Jamie brings a wealth of experience and passion to every project, and translates your vision into a one-of-a-kind creation.
